Why See Legally Blonde?

Based on the Reese Witherspoon starring movie, Legally Blonde: The Musical follows sorority queen Elle Woods on her quest to be take seriously. Having been ditched by her boyfriend, who claims he would prefer to be with someone more 'serious', Elle heads off to law school to prove him, and everyone else, wrong.

The 2001 film was a box office smash, and it's musical incarnation has proven just as popular, with runs on Broadway and the West End. It successfully translated the upbeat effervescence of the movie version onto the stage, with numbers such as 'Omigod You Guys' and 'Take it Like a Man' quickly becoming modern musical standards. This production come from the CLO, who remain one of the most committed and inventive theatre groups in PIttsburgh.
