Consider Yourself In For A Good Time!
The timeless tale of an orphan boy who dared to ask for more, Oliver! is a jubilant experience, packed with some of the most iconic characters to ever grace the stage, from the wily trickster Fagin to the audacious pickpocket The Artful Dodger. Lionel Bart's legendary score is one standard after another, from Food, Glorious Food to I'd Do Anything and Consider Yourself.
The musical version of Dickens' 1838 novel first premiered in 1960 in London's West End. With music and lyrics by Lionel Bart, the show was an instant hit and was just as well received when it opened on Broadway three years later, securing three Tony Awards. A multi-Oscar winning film version, directed by Carol Reed and starring arrived in 1968, further cementing the show's status. This production stars the talented students of the Richard E. Rauh Conservatory and is fully produced by Pittsburgh Musical Theatre.
