A Brief History
The towering and sparkly Cultural District that we love and know today took shape in the early 1980s after finding its roots in the industrial trade. Eventually, the district underwent a complete metamorphosis, becoming the go-to destination for all your entertainment needs. It transformed from an industrial hub, initially built on the foundations of the city's industrial identity, into a seamless integration of historic structures with contemporary spaces. The Cultural District is now a fusion of Pittsburgh's past and present - and it's not just a cultural hotspot; it's also a great day out for the whole family!
