A Peaceable Kingdom Tour
The Decemberists are heading on tour after releasing their first song in six years 'Burial Ground'! Portland's Decemberists are indie-folk's greatest ambassadors of unique songs, infused with history and fables backed by lush and inviting melodies. Since forming in 2001, they have become a mainstay on the scene and known for putting on unforgettable live shows.
Their 2015 record "What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World" led to their hometown of Portland declaring January 20th 'Decemberists Day'! Now they're heading out on tour after their brand new release in 2024. You can celebrate the two-decade reign of this awesome band as they tour America on the A Peaceable Kingdom tour!

Well done show but not a good encore
This is the third time I've seen The Decemberists. My wife and I enjoyed the show but were disappointed with the encore. They played one song (Joan in the Garden) from the upcoming album (a month away). The song was in three parts but the middle part was long and tedious with no vocals. We were getting bored, to be honest. Other people looked zoned out and had enough. This was a bad selection for an encore. They had a number of great songs they could've selected so everyone could walk out upbeat and happy but after the 17-18 minute song wrapped, the lights turned on and that was it. People just shrugged their shoulders and left.
They are still great to see and hope the new album will be a good effort.
