Shake rattle and roll
On a cold December night in December 1965, four of the greatest rock stars America has ever seen, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry lee Lewis, gathered together for a jam session made in heaven. Luckily, a quick-thinking sound engineer pressed record and it was recorded for posterity. Jukebox musical Million Dollar Quartet tells the story of that momentous night, laced through with the history of the four musicians and the Sun records founder Sam Phillips. Among the many iconic tracks in this show are 'Blue Suede Shoes,' 'Fever,' 'That's All Right,' 'Great Balls of Fire,' 'Walk the Line,' 'Hound Dog,' 'Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On,' 'Matchbox,' and 'Folsom Prison Blues.'
A Broadway and West End smash, Million Dollar Quartet is a must for music fans and history buffs alike, giving you an insight into both the music and the wider societal changes which were happening at the time.
