Ella and Louis are back on stage!

An absolute must-see for jazz-age music afficiandos, the music magic of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald is brought back to life in this stunning tribute concert, channeled by Byron Stripling on his lung-busting brass trumpet and Marva Hicks with her soaring, sultry vocals. Conducted by Lawrence Loh, the pair are accompanied by the full Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as they take us through an extensive catelogue of Satchmo and Fitzgerald's best duets including Cheek to Cheek, Stars Fell on Alabama and April in Paris.

One of the world's most successful musical duos of the 20th century, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald recorded their now iconic joint album Ella and Louis in 1956, masterminded by producer Norman Granz , featuring a stunning combination of jazz standards, the American Playbook, as well as Broadway standards. The duo went onto record a sequel collaboration of hits, followed by their celebrated studio recording of Porgy and Bess.
