An exuberant classic, packed full of dames and gangsters
As musicals go, they don't come much more classic than this! A red-hot sizzling tale of gamblers, gangsters, and glamorous nightclub singers, Guys and Dolls is firmly part of the musical theatre canon! It originally premiered on Broadway in 1950, with its status cemented by the Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando film adaptation which followed five years later.
Escape into this glitzy past of New York City with the story of Sky and Nathan and let the glorious soundtrack, including faves such as 'Luck be a Lady', 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat' and 'My Time of Day', make this an evening to remember! This Pittsburgh Musical Theater production is directed by Ted Pappas.
Opening night: 28 January 2016
Music & Lyrics by Frank Loesser
Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows
