Tribute to The Purple One

Prince Rogers Nelson passed away last April, leaving behind one of the greatest legacies in the history of popular music. A wildly experimental weaver of pop, funk and soul, Prince ruled over the airwaves in the 80s and 90s with landmark record after landmark record, including the soundtrack album Purple Rain and the epic double LP Sign O' The Times.

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra revive tribute to the Purple One, as part of their Pops season 2017. The orchestra will be joined by a live band and a vocalist in celebrating the man who changed music forever. Expect to hear unique renditions of 'Purple Rain', 'When Doves Cry', Raspberry Beret', Alphabet Street', 'I Wanna Be Your Lover', '1999', Let's Go Crazy', Kiss' and many more.
