The Philly Pops celebrates Broadway!
The POPS season returns to Pittsburgh in spring 2017 and kicks off with a stunning tribute to the biggest Broadway showstopping songs ever heard! With the talented chorus of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Student Chorale, the ever-competent and animated Jack Everly conducts the fledgling stars live as they treat us to a huge selection of our favorite stage tunes from musicals such as Oklahoma!, Camelot, South Pacific, West Side Story, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera plus many more to be confirmed. A must-see for fans of musical theater to bring a "spring" into your step for 2017.
Guest conductor Jack Everly is foremost known for his work with a huge number of POPS orchestras across the country; he is currently the principal pops maestro at Indianapolis and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras, Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, Canada. In addition, he also appears as a special guest at other symphonies due to his charm and skill. 2017 is set to be a busy year for Everly as he is set to perform over 90 concerts in 20+ North American cities!
