Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra - American Soundscapes - America the Beautiful

A fitting tribute
Why see Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra - American Soundscapes - America the Beautiful?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents timeless music from the American greats and beyond! Conducted by Byron Stripling and featuring pianist Bobby Floyd, vocalist Mamie Parris and the voices of the Hamlisch-Page Student Choir, it's a fitting celebration of those stars and stripes!
The program will include music by Duke Ellington, George Gershwin and John Philip Sousa, as well as pieces spanning the breadth of what has made this nation's culture what it is, be it the sound of ragtime, gospel, blues, spirited marches or triumphant fanfares. The perfect tribute.
